THUNG NAI ECO-RESORT (HOA BINH)
Thung Nai Eco-Resort is a retreat destination designed to be an architectural icon of Hoa Binh City. The project captures the distinctive beauty of Hoa Binh through unique architectural features, such as the intricate “Tho Cam” (brocade) patterns used in the interior and structural details, inspired by local weaving looms.
OVERALL PERSPECTIVE
On a modest 2-hectare site with complex terrain and vertical cliffs, the design overcomes these challenges to offer a majestic view of the Hoa Binh Lake landscape.

3D SECTIONAL VIEW ACROSS MAIN ELEVATIONS
For an architect, a difficult site makes the problem even more fascinating. Here, the complex topography pushed our creativity to produce unique, tiered spaces. This 3D section illustrates how we distributed functions across various elevations.

THE MAIN HIGHLIGHT
The primary focal point is the resort’s entrance. Initially, this was a difficult puzzle because the road access is at a low elevation, requiring a climb over a cliff to view Hoa Binh Lake. To solve this, we designed a vertical circulation tower that serves as a landmark. This axis transports guests directly from ground level to the reception lobby on the 3rd floor. Beneath this are technical and service areas, including the kitchen, laundry, hall, and management offices.

BUNGALOWS DESIGNED FOR OPTIMIZED VIEWS

The bungalows are strategically positioned to maximize the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and water, ensuring privacy while remaining immersed in nature.
